What's new

What's new

• It knows what you've seen. Updates published since your last visit open expanded, and their dots fill in. Everything else stays folded. Three max, one minimum.
• Thumbnails on the list. Collapsed rows now show a small cover image on the right. Scan faster, click less.
• The month follows you. A sticky month marker rides along the rail as you scroll. You always know where you are.
• Featured stays open. Mark an update as featured and it renders in full, however old it is.
• Links that land. Share a link to a specific update and the page scrolls to it and pulses its dot. Twice. Then it stops.
• Filters you can see. Pick a label and a pill shows it next to the filter icon, with a clear button right there.
• Light theme, checked. The timeline reads properly on white now.

That's the list. Scroll it.

Here's the thing. Every update used to render in full, one after another. Great for the first post. Painful by the fifth. So we changed the shape of the page.

What's new

• Three up top, the rest in a list. The latest three updates stay expanded. Everything older collapses to a title, a two-line summary and its labels. Click anywhere on a row to open it.

• A timeline you can read. Dates sit on a rail to the left, with a line and a dot per update. Month markers show where you are. No more "about 2 hours ago".

• One-row header. Search, label filters, RSS, calendar view and subscribe now sit in a single quiet row. Search grows in place when you click it.

• Detail pages, left-aligned. Date, title, labels and body share one edge. Easier to read.

• Small motion, on purpose. The timeline draws itself in. Rows fade up. Hover a row and its dot lights. Read more unfolds instead of snapping. Reactions tick. All of it respects reduced motion.

That's it. Open your changelog and have a look.

We pulled everything developer-shaped out of Advanced and gave it a page under Connections. Two tabs. API, and Embed & SDK.

What's new

• API. Your key with a reveal toggle, JWT generation, and the legacy letterbox when you have one.

• Embed & SDK. The organization embed, trusted domains, and the JS SDK snippet. Each one a row, each snippet one click away.

• Custom domain, inline. Back in Advanced, setting up a domain is one row. Enter it, copy the CNAME record, hit Verify. No dialog.

That's it. Settings, Developers.

Here's the thing. Configuring Jira or Slack used to mean scrolling one long wall of switches and selects, with no idea what was saved and what wasn't. So we rebuilt the whole area.

What's new

• A calmer integrations list. Rows instead of cards. What you've connected sits on top with a green dot. Filter by category, search by name, done.

• Sectioned config screens. Every integration with rules now opens the same layout. Connection, push rules, status sync, custom fields, each in its own section with a dot that shows what's configured.

• Jira, made easier. Same settings, better order. Inline validation instead of error toasts, one Save that covers everything, and custom fields pick up your push project automatically.

• Slack, Discord and friends. Events and boards live in their own sections. Every toggle shows a small Saved tick the moment it lands.

• Nothing removed. Every rule, switch and sync option you had still works exactly the same way.

Pretty cool. Open Settings, Integrations and have a look.

What's new

• A denser posts list: We rebuilt the admin posts list from scratch. Rows are tighter, and priority, votes, ID and status sit in fixed columns. So your eye always knows where to look.

• Hairline dividers and an unread dot: Thin lines now separate rows. Unread posts get a small dot on the left. You can spot new feedback at a glance.

• Pill status tabs: The status tabs are now compact pills with plain counts. Less chrome, more posts.

• No more clipped last row: The bottom row of a long list used to hide behind the edge of the page. Not anymore.

• A calmer sidebar: The admin sidebar has smaller nav items, softer labels and plain counts. Your content now sits in its own clean card.

• Settings that look like one product: Every settings page uses the same layout now. One column, clear titles and evenly spaced rows. The settings sidebar gets collapsible sections too, just like Boards.

• Keyboard navigation: Press j or ↓ to move down the posts list, k or ↑ to move up. Enter opens a post. Esc clears your selection. It stays out of the way while you're typing. Live today.

• Inter, everywhere: We tried a new typeface this week. It looked lighter than we wanted, so Inter stays. Optical sizing and tabular numbers are on, so figures line up in columns.

• A new component foundation: Dialogs, menus, selects, popovers, tooltips, tabs, checkboxes and switches now run on one library, Base UI. Focus, Esc and arrow keys behave consistently across all of them. And
  tooltips show up instantly.

• One icon set: Every icon in FeatureOS is now from Hugeicons. Same weight, same size, everywhere. No more mixed styles.

• Better contrast: Teal, cyan and lime tags were hard to read in light mode. Tag text and the success green now meet the 4.5:1 contrast standard. Single-series charts got their contrast back too.

• One set of colours: Hardcoded colours are gone. Everything uses one shared palette, so light and dark mode stay in sync. Warning messages are easier to read now.
  

Over the next few days, you will see a lot of improvements to the UI, performance, and reliability of the platform. Enjoy using FeatureOS.

This keeps popular requests from runaway vote stacking, and it keeps the board fair when one idea starts to dominate.

How to turn it on

• Open your FeatureOS Dashboard.

• Go to Boards → pick a board → Settings.

• Set the upvote and downvote limits for posts on that board.

Also shipped

• Bulk export selected posts. Select posts on the board, open More, and export just that set.

• Custom field upgrades. Hide a field from customers, and edit or copy custom fields from the post sidebar.

• Authors can edit their own posts. Submitters can update their post after publishing, with the edit control on the post body.

• Moderation list improvements. Post status shows on the moderation list, and closed or deleted posts drop off automatically.

Set rules that push posts to Jira for you. Pick the status that triggers it, the board, the tags, who made the change, and the Jira project and issue type it lands in. Add as many rules as you need, each pointing at a different project.

🔄 Title and description sync

Two toggles decide what Jira sends back to the linked post. Description sync is now yours to control instead of a support request.

💬 Comment push

Comments on a FeatureOS post can now go straight to the linked Jira issue.

⧟ Custom field mapping

Map FeatureOS post fields to your Jira project's custom fields. The issue updates whenever the post changes.

Click the sparkle icon ✨ in the comment box, choose a tone, and edit the draft before posting. Choose from four tones: Friendly, Professional, Empathetic, or Concise. Turn it on from Boards > Choose a Board > Settings > AI Config.

The AI uses the post title, description, status, assignee, ETC date, and relevant help articles to generate the draft. It also works when replying to existing comments - not just top-level comments.

A few things to make it easier to work with:

• Previous replies are preserved.

• Nothing is posted automatically. Every draft is yours to review, edit, and approve.

This makes consolidating duplicates or related posts into a single parent request easier, and you can unmerge them back as needed. Votes, comments, and engagement stay with the parent.

Two ways to pull:

• Automatic Pull - New issues in a Linear team and project flow in as posts automatically, on the board you pick.

• Manual Pull - Add a chosen label to a Linear issue and it lands as a post on the board you mapped to that label. Good for pulling in only what you tag.

Every pulled post stays linked to its Linear issue, so status and progress move between both tools without extra work.

Matching is built using semantic search with vector embeddings, so posts are connected by meaning rather than exact keywords. Example: "Dark mode" and "night theme" now surface as related even when the words don't match.

Head to Organization Settings → Appearance → Email Templates and you'll find every notification we send, from new post alerts and comment notifications to changelog announcements, vote milestones, and board invitations.

What you can do

• Edit the subject, copy, and layout of any template in a visual editor, no code required.

• Drop in variables like post titles, board names, and commenter names so each email stays personal.

• Adjust padding, width, and styling to match your brand.

• Preview your changes before anything goes live, and reset to the FeatureOS default anytime.

How it works

Every template stays on the FeatureOS default until you enable your custom version. So you can draft, tweak, and preview as much as you like, and nothing changes for your users until you flip it on. Turn it off, and you're instantly back to the default, with your customizations saved.

This is a board-specific setting and can be enabled by heading to Dashboard > Boards > Choose a board > Toggle to Settings > Scroll down to "Hide comments."

Once enabled, every new comment stays hidden - visible only to the submitter and your team members, not to anyone else. Perfect for boards where you want tighter visibility.

When duplicating, you can choose how the copy is created. Select "Draft" to duplicate the article and keep every version as a draft, so you can edit freely before publishing. This is handy when you're creating a series of similar articles, building templates for your team, or testing a rewrite without touching the live version!

• The Starter plan now supports up to 500 articles, up from the previous limit of 120.

• The Growth and Business plans now have no article limit at all.

Connect your HelpScout account from Dashboard > Settings > Import to FeatureOS, run an import, and your articles land in FeatureOS with formatting, collections, and categories intact.

The import runs in the background, and we'll email you when it's done! You'll see a clear summary of what came through - total articles processed, how many imported, and anything skipped - nothing slips through the cracks.

This came up a lot! Teams wanted a Support Lead who could only moderate comments, or a Product Lead who only managed certain boards, and the default roles didn't quite fit. Now you can build the role you actually need.

Admins can head to Organization Settings → My Team → Roles → + Add Role and see a full permission matrix to work with.

You can edit permissions, manage members, or delete a role at any time from the three-dot menu next to it. Each role gets a name and a slug, so it's clean to reference and easy to scan in your team list!

Until now, changelogs lived in a list. That works, but it doesn't tell a story. The new calendar view changes that!

Your users can see what shipped and when, browse by month or year, and hover over any entry for a quick preview without leaving the page.

For teams that ship often, it makes your pace visible. For users returning after a while, the month picker on the right gets them caught up fast.

It's a small thing that adds immediate credibility and helps users know who they're talking to. Internally, it also helps new teammates quickly orient themselves to who owns what.

Admins can set titles from Organization Settings → My Team → Edit Profile.

Admins can now toggle off all email alerts for any team member directly from the Team Members > Edit Profile panel - no need to wait for the person to do it themselves.

A small quality-of-life change that's been long overdue for teams managing multiple people and projects.

Type /button in the editor to insert one.

You control the label, URL, style (solid or outline), alignment, and whether it opens in a new tab - stack as many as you need in a single changelog. Use Custom CSS for exact brand alignment.

Switch to Kanban from the icon next to the search bar in All Posts, Assigned to me, or Team Inbox.

Since this is configured per Roadmap, under Multiple Roadmaps, each one can open in whatever makes sense for it.

• Timeline works best when dates and delivery order matter most.

• Your rewrites, partial edits, and works-in-progress stay in Draft until you're ready.

Useful when an update spans multiple days, needs a teammate's eyes before going live, or is tied to a feature that hasn't shipped yet.

Drafts save automatically, so closing the browser won't lose your work. When you're done, hit Publish - the draft becomes the new live article instantly.

GET /api/v3/search_changelogs lets you search through your published changelogs by keyword. It's powered by the same search engine that runs in the dashboard.

• Full-text search with processing time metadata so you can monitor performance.

Public Resource Links API

You can now generate shareable public URLs for feedback posts through the API. Share specific requests with customers, teammates, or stakeholders who don't have a featureOS account.

Until now, every changelog has gone out to everyone. That's fine for universal updates. But a feature that matters to your enterprise customers might be noise for your free tier.

A mobile-specific fix doesn't need to land in the inbox of someone who's never opened your app - Not anymore.

You can now target changelogs to specific customer segments. The right people see the right updates. Nobody else gets the noise.

What's new

• Visibility by segment. Restrict who can see a changelog by picking one or more customer segments. Only users in those segments will see it on your public page and widget.

• Segment picker in the editor. Choose your target segments right from the changelog editor. No context switching.

• Notify by segment. Control exactly which segments get notified when you publish. Stop blasting everyone with updates that only matter to a few.

• Default to everyone. Don't pick a segment? The changelog goes out to everyone as usual. Nothing changes unless you want it to.

• Delete protection. Try to delete a segment that's linked to a changelog and you'll see a warning with the affected changelogs first.

This opens up a whole new way to use changelogs. Targeted release notes for different plans, regions, or user types. We can't wait to see how you use it.

Pass a parent post ID and an array of child post IDs - votes, comments, and subscribers from the child posts all add up into the parent automatically.

Full CSS Customization

A full set of CSS class names is available to target specific elements, right from the background and banner to navigation links, dropdowns, and the mobile menu. Use .dark as a parent selector to apply styles specifically for dark mode.

Bring your Google Fonts

We did not stop just with CSS customizations. You can now bring your favorite Google Fonts into your header that is the closest fit for your brand and product. Just paste the Google Fonts Embed code into your FeatureOS Customizations setting in the Admin Panel, and you’re done. It is as simple as that.

How to access: Navigate to any published Changelog in your FeatureOS Dashboard and click the Analytics tab to view the performance data for that specific entry.

Once connected, you can ask your questions to your AI assistant related to your FeatureOS workspace. Want to know how many feature requests came in last week? Which bug has the most votes right now? What your team should prioritize this sprint? Need to pull up a help article or check what's on the roadmap next quarter? Your AI assistant can fetch all of it instantly, straight from your FeatureOS data.

This means you can keep your roadmap visible to logged-in customers but hidden from guests, show the knowledge base to your team only, or simplify the guest experience down to just the feedback board or whatever fits your setup.

To try this feature, head to Dashboard → Organisation Settings > Basic > Module Visibility to find a simple grid where you can check the Boards, Roadmap, Changelog, and Knowledge Base tabs on or off for three roles: your Team, your Customers, and Guests.

• Assign Posts: Automatically route feedback to the right person by passing their FeatureOS email ID.

• Unassign/Clear: Use the unassign endpoint to remove an owner or clear the assignee field entirely.

Note: Assignees must be existing members of your FeatureOS organization. Each post supports one active assignee at a time.

Today, we are introducing System Theme Support for FeatureOS. Instead of manually toggling your appearance settings, you can now let FeatureOS sync perfectly with your operating system's settings.

How to Enable It:

1. Click on your Profile Picture in the top navigation bar.

2. Hover over (or click) the Theme menu item.

3. Select System from the dropdown.

Before printing, customize your view using the existing Display and sorting options, adjust card density, toggle card fields, show or hide lanes, switch between dark and light theme, and set your zoom level. Everything you see on screen is what gets printed.

This feature is available in Multiple roadmaps.

This makes it easier to share sensitive, temporary, or limited-access content with the right people, while keeping everything else protected.

Common use cases :

• Share confidential updates with a client or stakeholder

• Provide temporary review access to people outside your workspace

• Maintaining strict control over who can view content

How to use :
Open a private post → Create shared link → choose expiration and delivery → share.

Note: One-time links can only be created from the post’s dashboard view.

1. Dashboard: See your feedback analytics at a glance. Status distribution, activity trends, and stale/overdue post tracking, all in a new dedicated tab.

2. Widgets: Add featureos to your home screen and lock screen. See pending feedback counts, top posts, and jump straight into boards or search. Supports multiple orgs.

3. Knowledge Base: Browse your help center collections and articles right from the app. Publish and unpublish without leaving your phone.

4. Search: Moved to its own tab. Recent searches, highlighted matches, and faster results.

5. Changelogs: Now renders rich content with images and linked posts. Filter and sort to find what you need.

6. Keyboard Shortcuts: Plugged into an external keyboard? Navigate faster with shortcut support.

7. Accessibility: Full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion throughout the app.

What's new

• Elevation-based surfaces — Dark mode now uses layered elevation to create visual depth, making it easier to distinguish panels, cards, and overlays at a glance.

• Blue-tinted surfaces and borders — Surfaces carry a subtle blue tint instead of flat gray, giving the interface a warmer, more refined feel.

• Improved contrast across the board — Post lists, single post views, settings, sidebars, and the editor toolbar have all been tuned for better readability without being harsh on the eyes.

• Subtler borders — Reduced border opacity throughout so dividers guide your eye without competing for attention.

• Dark theme logo — You can now upload a separate logo for dark mode under Organization Settings. When no dark variant is set, we gracefully fall back to your light logo.

• Refreshed settings layout — Settings pages now use a clean card-group layout that works beautifully in both light and dark themes.

Why we did this

Dark mode shouldn't be an afterthought. Many of you spend hours in featureOS every day, and we wanted the dark experience to feel intentional — not just "invert the colors and call it a day." This update brings dark mode up to the standard you'd expect from tools like Linear and ChatGPT.

You can inform assignees, team members, interactors or any combination of these groups. This new capability ensures the right people stay informed automatically and makes communication around Jira-driven updates more targeted and relevant.

What's included:

• Manage feedback Post new feedback requests, update existing post information, edit descriptions, assign custom fields to organize submissions, and keep all your feedback up-to-date no matter where you are.

• Track progress Stay on top of what's shipping by checking the changelog for recent updates, monitoring form submissions as they come in, and reviewing the status of all feature requests in real-time.

• Access knowledge Browse your entire knowledge base for instant reference, search for documentation, review help articles, and find answers to team questions.

• Stay in sync Get real-time push notifications for important updates, new submissions, status changes, and team mentions so nothing slips through the cracks when you're away from your desk.

What's next: We're already working on the next update with better navigation, richer interactions, and new features you've been asking for.

This change is seamless on your end. All existing links automatically redirect, and there’s no impact on your data, settings, or integrations. Everything works exactly as before, just under a more permanent and widely recognized domain.

If a post is submitted by an user, without signing in and without an email address, it will now be shown as coming from an Anonymous user, ensuring transparency while still respecting user privacy.

This added clarity helps prevent confusion, ensures posts are attributed correctly, and makes it easier for teams to confidently create posts on behalf of the right users in private contexts.

This update helps you stay focused on what actually matters, scan applied filters faster, and work more comfortably, especially when dealing with complex or multi-filter views.

With this update, you can:

• Upload a Light Mode Logo

• Upload a Dark Mode Logo

• Upload matching theme-specific site icons

Your logo will automatically switch based on the user’s theme, keeping your branding consistent and readable across the entire interface. You can enable it by going to Dashboard -> Organisation Settings -> Basic -> Dark Theme logo.

We’ve also added clear parent–child context so nothing gets lost:

• The parent post will display all of its child posts directly underneath, giving you a complete view of everything that was split out.

• Each child post will show its parent post just under the title, making it easy to understand where it originated.

This feature is especially helpful when users bundle multiple feature requests into one post, or when a long thread needs to be broken down for clearer triaging, ownership, and prioritization.

This update ensures that all content transfers cleanly and accurately with no formatting loss, no missing images, and no plain-text downgrades. Your ClickUp tasks now preserve the full context, structure, and clarity of what you created in FeatureOS, making cross-team handoffs smoother and more reliable.

Update the slug directly from the editor, and the preview will show how your new URL looks before saving. Just remember to update any external links that referenced the old URL.

To try this feature, go to Dashboard → Changelog → Add Changelog → Add title → Create → Click on “Edit” for the “Link” on the right side → Customise the slug → Save.

To enable the Spam Detection feature in Feedback Board, you can go to Dashboard → Boards - > Public/ Private board, choose the board → Settings - > Moderation → Prompt to detect Spam Posts

The supported types now include Short Text, Email, Long Text, URL, Number, Switch, Date, Dropdown, Poll, Radio Buttons, Checkboxes, Slider, Star Rating, and NPS Rating.

This update gives you the flexibility to design richer, more structured feedback forms and collect data in a format that actually helps your team make better decisions.

You’ll find these options under:
Dashboard → Boards → Public/ Private Boards → Choose the Board → Settings → Disable Post Attachments / Disable Comment Attachments

Whenever a feature or task is updated in ClickUp, the corresponding item in FeatureOS now reflects the latest Prioritisation Score and vice-versa. This keeps your roadmap, internal planning, and customer-facing priorities consistent across both platforms.

Where to find it:
Open any form → Designer → Top section → Add Header

• Disable guest comments entirely

• Allow Anonymous guest comments

• Require comments With email for added accountability

This gives you better control over how open your boards are from fully public discussions to more verified, email-based participation.

You’ll find this setting under: Dashboard → Boards → Board Settings → Privacy → Guest Comments.

You can now include links to onboarding guides, FAQs, help docs, terms and conditions or demo videos directly in your form description using the new link icon in the editor. This makes it easier to provide clarity or direct users to additional materials without leaving the form.

You can add dropdown custom fields to any board, allow multiple or single-choice selections, and use them to standardise inputs like Issue Type, Category, or Priority.

• Create Project Sync Rules inside Linear Configuration.

Managers can now receive weekly digests of the trending feedback posts, just like admins. This helps your team’s Managers stay in the loop on trending posts, emerging patterns, and team input every week, on your portal!

Enable it by heading to Organization Settings → Basic → Email Notifications → Scroll Down → Weekly Updates for Members

We’ve made it easier to analyse your Analytics by introducing the “Filter By Tags” option, with their respective color-code for instant visual clarity. From Bugs to Design to Integrations, analyse the data for what matters the most and spot the patterns faster.

You can now set the priority level directly while pushing a post to Linear. No need to jump into Linear again, just select from Urgent, High, Medium, Low, or No Priority right here in the UI before hitting “Push to Linear”.
