You can now generate shareable public URLs for feedback posts through the API. Share specific requests with customers, teammates, or stakeholders who don't have a featureOS account.

Until now, every changelog has gone out to everyone. That's fine for universal updates. But a feature that matters to your enterprise customers might be noise for your free tier.

A mobile-specific fix doesn't need to land in the inbox of someone who's never opened your app - Not anymore.

You can now target changelogs to specific customer segments. The right people see the right updates. Nobody else gets the noise.

What's new

• Visibility by segment. Restrict who can see a changelog by picking one or more customer segments. Only users in those segments will see it on your public page and widget.

• Segment picker in the editor. Choose your target segments right from the changelog editor. No context switching.

• Notify by segment. Control exactly which segments get notified when you publish. Stop blasting everyone with updates that only matter to a few.

• Default to everyone. Don't pick a segment? The changelog goes out to everyone as usual. Nothing changes unless you want it to.

• Delete protection. Try to delete a segment that's linked to a changelog and you'll see a warning with the affected changelogs first.

This opens up a whole new way to use changelogs. Targeted release notes for different plans, regions, or user types. We can't wait to see how you use it.

Pass a parent post ID and an array of child post IDs - votes, comments, and subscribers from the child posts all add up into the parent automatically.

Full CSS Customization

A full set of CSS class names is available to target specific elements, right from the background and banner to navigation links, dropdowns, and the mobile menu. Use .dark as a parent selector to apply styles specifically for dark mode.

Bring your Google Fonts

We did not stop just with CSS customizations. You can now bring your favorite Google Fonts into your header that is the closest fit for your brand and product. Just paste the Google Fonts Embed code into your FeatureOS Customizations setting in the Admin Panel, and you’re done. It is as simple as that.

How to access: Navigate to any published Changelog in your FeatureOS Dashboard and click the Analytics tab to view the performance data for that specific entry.

Once connected, you can ask your questions to your AI assistant related to your FeatureOS workspace. Want to know how many feature requests came in last week? Which bug has the most votes right now? What your team should prioritize this sprint? Need to pull up a help article or check what's on the roadmap next quarter? Your AI assistant can fetch all of it instantly, straight from your FeatureOS data.

This means you can keep your roadmap visible to logged-in customers but hidden from guests, show the knowledge base to your team only, or simplify the guest experience down to just the feedback board or whatever fits your setup.

To try this feature, head to Dashboard → Organisation Settings > Basic > Module Visibility to find a simple grid where you can check the Boards, Roadmap, Changelog, and Knowledge Base tabs on or off for three roles: your Team, your Customers, and Guests.

• Assign Posts: Automatically route feedback to the right person by passing their FeatureOS email ID.

• Unassign/Clear: Use the unassign endpoint to remove an owner or clear the assignee field entirely.

Note: Assignees must be existing members of your FeatureOS organization. Each post supports one active assignee at a time.

Today, we are introducing System Theme Support for FeatureOS. Instead of manually toggling your appearance settings, you can now let FeatureOS sync perfectly with your operating system's settings.

How to Enable It:

1. Click on your Profile Picture in the top navigation bar.

2. Hover over (or click) the Theme menu item.

3. Select System from the dropdown.

Before printing, customize your view using the existing Display and sorting options, adjust card density, toggle card fields, show or hide lanes, switch between dark and light theme, and set your zoom level. Everything you see on screen is what gets printed.

This feature is available in Multiple roadmaps.

This makes it easier to share sensitive, temporary, or limited-access content with the right people, while keeping everything else protected.

Common use cases :

• Share confidential updates with a client or stakeholder

• Provide temporary review access to people outside your workspace

• Maintaining strict control over who can view content

How to use :
Open a private post → Create shared link → choose expiration and delivery → share.

Note: One-time links can only be created from the post’s dashboard view.

7. Accessibility: Full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion throughout the app.

• Elevation-based surfaces — Dark mode now uses layered elevation to create visual depth, making it easier to distinguish panels, cards, and overlays at a glance.

• Blue-tinted surfaces and borders — Surfaces carry a subtle blue tint instead of flat gray, giving the interface a warmer, more refined feel.

• Improved contrast across the board — Post lists, single post views, settings, sidebars, and the editor toolbar have all been tuned for better readability without being harsh on the eyes.

• Subtler borders — Reduced border opacity throughout so dividers guide your eye without competing for attention.

• Dark theme logo — You can now upload a separate logo for dark mode under Organization Settings. When no dark variant is set, we gracefully fall back to your light logo.

• Refreshed settings layout — Settings pages now use a clean card-group layout that works beautifully in both light and dark themes.

Why we did this

Dark mode shouldn't be an afterthought. Many of you spend hours in featureOS every day, and we wanted the dark experience to feel intentional — not just "invert the colors and call it a day." This update brings dark mode up to the standard you'd expect from tools like Linear and ChatGPT.

You can inform assignees, team members, interactors or any combination of these groups. This new capability ensures the right people stay informed automatically and makes communication around Jira-driven updates more targeted and relevant.

What's included:

• Manage feedback Post new feedback requests, update existing post information, edit descriptions, assign custom fields to organize submissions, and keep all your feedback up-to-date no matter where you are.

• Track progress Stay on top of what's shipping by checking the changelog for recent updates, monitoring form submissions as they come in, and reviewing the status of all feature requests in real-time.

• Access knowledge Browse your entire knowledge base for instant reference, search for documentation, review help articles, and find answers to team questions.

• Stay in sync Get real-time push notifications for important updates, new submissions, status changes, and team mentions so nothing slips through the cracks when you're away from your desk.

What's next: We're already working on the next update with better navigation, richer interactions, and new features you've been asking for.

This change is seamless on your end. All existing links automatically redirect, and there’s no impact on your data, settings, or integrations. Everything works exactly as before, just under a more permanent and widely recognized domain.

If a post is submitted by an user, without signing in and without an email address, it will now be shown as coming from an Anonymous user, ensuring transparency while still respecting user privacy.

This added clarity helps prevent confusion, ensures posts are attributed correctly, and makes it easier for teams to confidently create posts on behalf of the right users in private contexts.

This update helps you stay focused on what actually matters, scan applied filters faster, and work more comfortably, especially when dealing with complex or multi-filter views.

With this update, you can:

• Upload a Light Mode Logo

• Upload a Dark Mode Logo

• Upload matching theme-specific site icons

Your logo will automatically switch based on the user’s theme, keeping your branding consistent and readable across the entire interface. You can enable it by going to Dashboard -> Organisation Settings -> Basic -> Dark Theme logo.

We’ve also added clear parent–child context so nothing gets lost:

• The parent post will display all of its child posts directly underneath, giving you a complete view of everything that was split out.

• Each child post will show its parent post just under the title, making it easy to understand where it originated.

This feature is especially helpful when users bundle multiple feature requests into one post, or when a long thread needs to be broken down for clearer triaging, ownership, and prioritization.

This update ensures that all content transfers cleanly and accurately with no formatting loss, no missing images, and no plain-text downgrades. Your ClickUp tasks now preserve the full context, structure, and clarity of what you created in FeatureOS, making cross-team handoffs smoother and more reliable.

Update the slug directly from the editor, and the preview will show how your new URL looks before saving. Just remember to update any external links that referenced the old URL.

To try this feature, go to Dashboard → Changelog → Add Changelog → Add title → Create → Click on “Edit” for the “Link” on the right side → Customise the slug → Save.

To enable the Spam Detection feature in Feedback Board, you can go to Dashboard → Boards - > Public/ Private board, choose the board → Settings - > Moderation → Prompt to detect Spam Posts

The supported types now include Short Text, Email, Long Text, URL, Number, Switch, Date, Dropdown, Poll, Radio Buttons, Checkboxes, Slider, Star Rating, and NPS Rating.

This update gives you the flexibility to design richer, more structured feedback forms and collect data in a format that actually helps your team make better decisions.

What’s Changing?

• A new toggle, “Allow only verified users,” is added to your Whitelisted Domain configuration.

• When enabled, only users who have verified their email will be added as members of private boards, based on the whitelisted domain configuration.

• Unverified users will not be added as private board members or customers of your organization until they verify their account.

  Users who log in via SSO are exempt from this requirement, as their accounts are auto-verified.

How to Verify your FeatureOS Account?

After signing up, simply click the "Send Confirmation" button to receive a verification email. Follow the link in the email to complete the verification process and gain access.

🎨 New Kanban View for Changelog Status

We've added a Kanban-style view to visualize changelog statuses in a more organized and accessible way. Now, you can quickly see the progress of each changelog item at a glance, grouped by status - Draft, Published & Scheduled

Head to your Dashboard > Changelog section and you’ll see the new view option over the left!

Easily search and filter through all changelog items with our new search bar and filter options. This allows you to find exactly what you’re looking for, whether by published date, label, status, or author, saving you time and effort.
